2 March – Pilot Iroshizuku Shin-kai (Pigeons & Doves, cont.)

This was the first ink that I used regularly when I started writing with fountain pens, the first ink where I thought “yep, this color suits me just fine”. You know, before all this crazy Ink-a-Day stuff! I still love the color, and 50ml Iroshizuku bottles look lovely on one’s desk. The Pigeon and Dove exploration continues for a second day today. Several of you have been kind about my sketches, and while I think some of them look really dorky, I truly appreciate the compliments 🙂 I can say that drawing birds has gotten me to study body shape, proportions, and especially how feathers are distributed across a bird’s body (and the different kinds of feathers). Enjoy!
