Inkistry 2025 – 27 January

Growling Fire Lily Sunburn

1 part Fire Hydrant

1.5-2 parts Interstellar Bronze

1.5 parts Tiger Lily

This he isn’t tough to describe, but it’s almost impossible to photograph. Today’s Inkistry lab time has produced a lovely shading ink, with moments of cactus green with Interstellar sheen as well as the beautiful, darker Growling Fire Lily. The ink in the Pilot Prera didn’t behave very well at first, but once it smoothed pout, there’s some magic going on here. Tomorrow, it’s onto a new combo, because I think this one has come as far is it can without turning to mud.

This shows some of the sheening and shading present, but not as much as there actually is.
As is often the case, a straight on view is of a basically single-toned ink
A misbehaving, recipe-writing pen and ink combo
There’s a lot going on in there
This (esp the writing above) May show the complexity of today’s lab results best of all.
