Yet another stunner from Monteverde. They boast a patented ink technology that is supposed to improve flow and ink behavior and wear and tear on pens. I would say it does as advertised. Some might feel these inks are too wet on some papers.
Just the bright-yet-powder-blue shade I think of when I think “power tie” (and for some reason I associate them with Barack Obama). But it’s also the logo for the ink itself, so, here it is:
It’s not brown and it’s not orange, so this bold ink slots right in between. Nice stuff continues from Monteverde.
From the Noir Ink Collection (I also have Copper Noir, but not coal, jade, mercury, mulberry, ocean, raven, rose, or smoke), this is another terrific blue black.
Zebra, Giraffe, Gorilla, Toucan, Lion, and Hippo are the six Jungle Ink Collection inks I don’t have, but these have been delightful.
An intriguing purple (from the Jungle Ink Collection), and I’m not sure this is the first color I think of when I think of elephants. Third super saturated ink out of three.
This is a really dark green. Another super saturated, super wet ink from Monteverde, and I’m wondering how many of their inks will be dark and wet.
From their Jungle Ink Collection, I have four of ten inks, and today’s is lovely. Deeply saturated, vibrant, and it goes down really wet (maybe the wettest ink of the year so far). Not the green I think of when I think “chameleon”, but hey, maybe that’s the point!
I have a Monteverde Regatta with an omniflex nib that I have adored as one of my higher end pens since the very beginning. So I’m looking forward to exploring these inks, which come from different lines (I don’t have any complete line).
