  • 26 January 2024 – Colorverse Dark Energy

Tomorrow we’ll come back to alphabetical order with eight inks from Backpack, but today it’s time for the only bottle of Colorverse that I own (remember I own many, many ~2ml samples of lots of things, it this year’s project is only bottles). Colorverse is a South Korean company, and they love their astronomy!

  • 25 January 2024 – Anderillium Wrap Up

It’s really tough to rank these 25 inks, but here’s my best shot at it. I have pretty much loved them all. 25. Pompadour Cotinga Burgundy 24. Purple Gallinule Purple 23. Vampire Squid Red 22. • 25 January 2024 – Anderillium Potomac LE

Pen companies and ink companies sometimes make pens and inks exclusively for sale at a particular pen show. My beloved Edison Comet is one of a limited numbered run of fifteen pens made by Brian and the terrific folks at Edison Pens in Huron, Ohio. Today’s ink was produced exclusively for the 2023 Washington DC

  • 24 January 2024 – Anderillium Viceroy Butterfly Orange

Sometimes you might be forgiven for thinking a viceroy is a monarch. They are smaller than monarchs, and are known as Müllerian mimics of the monarch, as they are distasteful to predators. • 21 January 2024 – Anderillium Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing Butterfly Green

Another great color as we hit the home stretch for Anderillium. The Queen Alexandra’s Birdwing is the largest butterfly species in the world. It is also on the IUCN’s Endangered list, and is restricted to the forests of Oro Province in eastern Papua New Guinea.

  • 20 January 2024 – Anderillium Luna Moth Green

I always think of a Luna Moth as yellow-green, and this ink seems more minty to me, so I’m struggling a bit with this one. But give it a different name, and it’s another lovely ink!

  • 19 January 2024 – Anderillium Banded King Shoemaker Butterfly Blue

Not the male has any blue, and that limited to a shocking strip on each wing segment of an otherwise jet black butterfly of the tropical montaine forests. The ink is leaning towards turquoise, which is just fine by me.
