18 April 2024 – Pelikan Edelstein Apatite

Apatite is an absolutely gorgeous color. I tried collecting the Inks of the Year, but some of them just can’t be found. And, I was standing in front of a vendor who had one remaining bottle of one of the inks I needed for this particular limited release line, and I walked away and came…

17 April 2024 – Pelikan Turquoise

As I’ve mentioned, there are folks who “specialize” in particular ink and pen colors, and turquoise is a popular one, for sure. And really, you could do worse than pursuing the perfect turquoise. This is a nice color, but alongside yesterday’s violet it still pales like the royal blue did.

16 April 2024 – Pelikan Violet

This is the level of saturation I was hoping for in the royal blue, but it’s still nice to see it here in this handsome purple.

15 April 2024 – Pelikan Royal Blue

It’s not quite as saturated as what I would like to see in a royal blue, but its perfectly pleasing 🙂

14 April 2024 – Pelikan Dark Green

It’s not terribly dark, but it’s a super chill forest green that would work well in any number of circumstances. Try it!

13 April 2024 – Pelikan Brilliant Brown

Now we move into the Pelikan (and Pelikan Edelstein Ink of the Year) lines in my collection, starting with this very cheery orange-brown. As always with classic old companies, this is well-behaved ink.

12 April 2024 – Organics Studio Nitrogen

This ink is an iconic “wild ink”. Everyone has to have a bottle of super shading Nitrogen, right?!
-
11 April 2024 – Noodler’s Whaleman’s Sepia

Today we reach the end of my Noodler’s collection, and it’s an ink that pays tribute to the owner’s forebears, who were generations of whalers in the North Atlantic. It’s a terrific sepia worthy of anyone’s collection.

10 April 2024 – Noodler’s Tiananmen Red

Another ink honoring anti communism and the bravery of individuals. “The Tank Man”.

9 April 2024 – Noodler’s Rome Burning

Love this color! Not sure if it’s the color of Rome on fire, but it does remind me of the ancient stones of which Rome’s ancient ruins are built.
