The second 2024 special edition ink is another lovely blue denim, with nice saturation while retaining subtle lighter tones.

Another “higher end” ink from LAMY, this ink doesn’t disappoint. And once again, I learned about mineralogy.

We come today to probably the most expensive, most collectible, more rare ink I own. The Special Edition Safari Petrol released by LAMY in 2017 had a matching ink,and today both the ink and the pen are quite rare and therefore pricy. But this is an amazingly terrific ink, and the name is perfect! Enjoy!

I really want this color to be more vivid, because I love the Special Edition Safari it is supposed to match. It for me, this ink falls short due to weak, uninteresting color. (Honorable mention for slightly pleasant shading)

LAMH inks are economical, relatively speaking, and the “pricier” crystal line are still very affordable. And this Rhodonite is an absolute stunner. I’m surprised how many inks are named for gems and elements, so I learned a little about Rhodonite today (always thrilled to learn new things).

Basically the ONLY thing I don’t like about LAMY ink bottles is that nowhere does the name of the ink appear in writing. The color appears on the box, and the bottle lid suggests the color, but when you have quite a bit of ink, you end up with lots of colors that are pretty…
