4 April 2024 – Noodler’s Navajo Turquoise

This one is a stunner! There are people who focus almost exclusively on teal/turquoise ink (what the difference is, I have no idea, it then again… House Divided!). This one is commendable for such a person, and also for any who enjoy gorgeous ink.

3 April 2024 – Noodler’s Liberty’s Elysium (Goulet exclusive)

A fairly close attempt at the official Goulet brand color. Highly saturated, bold, and pretty. Terrific choice!

2 April 2024 – Noodler’s Lexington Grey

This ink is named after the famous USS Lexington (CV-2), the sixth ship to bear the name in honor of the Battle of Lexington. One of the first aircraft carriers in the world, Lexington was commissioned in 1927 (originally as the battlecruiser CC-1). She is known as “Lady Lex” and “The Grey Lady”. She was…

1 April 2024 – Noodler’s Kiowa Pecan

The Kiowa Tribe migrated south from Montana to Colorado and eventually to the southern plains. In 1867, they were forced on a reservation in southwest Oklahoma. The Kiowa language is in danger of going extinct: as of 2012 there were only 20 speakers (of about 12,000 Kiowa ). Today’s ink is a moderately saturated orange-red.

Here’s a look at the entire month on one page, and some final thoughts. 31 March 2024 – Noodler’s House Divided

I truly find this ink disappointing, which might be the point! I can’t decide what color it is. It’s not really purple. It’s either red, or it’s blue. But I just can’t tell. It’s like it’s trying to be both. Which, again, might be the point! I love this ink!

30 March 2024 – Noodler’s Hawthorne’s Scarlet

This is really a beautiful color; it is saturated, crisp, and bold, but it has a refined color. And, of course, there’s not one letter for this ink… A!

29 March 2024 – Noodler’s Dragon’s Napalm

Not much different from yesterday’s ink, but perhaps a bit more saturated.

28 March 2024 – Noodler’s Dragon’s Fire

One of the great realities literature convinces some people of is that dragons, and perhaps more importantly dragon slayers, are real. This orange red isn’t my favorite color, but it’s fun!

27 March 2024 – Noodler’s Clairvoyance State

A strange grey. Nice shading, almost suggesting purple. An intriguing color for an intriguing name.
