Inkistry 2025

New Year, new ink project! While I stopped blogging my daily inks last year, I did complete the project on NYE, using a different ink bottle each day of 2024. And now it’s time for…

INKISTRY 2025! In which I play mad chemist with Birmingham Pen Company’s line of Keystone Formula Inks. You’ll be learning more in the coming days and weeks, but yesterday and today set the stage with Ohio Ice Rink and Ohio Ice Rink “AC”.

Ohio Ice Rink is a combination of BPC’s recipes for Ohio River and Ice Rink. I used 8 pts Hibiscus, 4 pts Electron, 1 pt Saltwater Taffy, and 1 pt Gunpowder. For Ohio Ice Rink “AC”, I added 2 pts Tesla Coil to the mix.

So our first two creations from the ink lab already show some differences just by adding 2 parts to a vial that already had 14 parts.
